RETURNS POLICY
If you wish to either return or exchange a product, you need to contact us within 48 hours of receiving your shoes so we can provide you with a Return Number#. We’ll be happy to either exchange it, refund it or we can give you a store credit if you prefer.
For any of the above mentioned to happen, we will need:
*proof of purchase
*that the item remains in its original condition (it has not been used and the box to be in perfect condition)
*it is returned and received by Imeldas Closet within 7 business days from the delivery date
*if the item is on SALE we would only allocate store credit
*store credit notes are valid for 6 months.
EXCHANGE
*if what you wish is to exchange a product for a different size or style, please contact us immediately so we can put your desired pair of shoes on hold for you if available and make sure you don’t miss out while we wait for the posties!
PLEASE NOTE (harsh bit)
*we reserve the right to refuse the return of any merchandise we consider not to meet the above requirements, sole to our own discretion.
*all shipping costs incurred due to the exchange of an item are the responsibility of the customer, unless returning a faulty item, of course.
*unfortunately, we do not take any responsibility for items lost or damaged in the process of being returned to us. We do recommend that you use a courier service who can provide you with a tracking number.
We will dispatch your fabulous new shoes within 48 hours of your purchase. We are in a rural area, so unfortunately our courier cannot offer us a same-day pick up service. Nevertheless, they are absolutely amazing and they will provide you with a tracking number for you to follow up your shoes and just saying they are 100% CARBON NEUTRAL: so big applause please.
We offer FREE DELIVERY for AUSTRALIA and NEW ZEALAND on purchases over $200, or a flat rate of AU$ 25 for purchases below that amount. Depending on where you are, delivery times are 4 to 6 business days.
If you are in WESTERN EUROPE, ASIA or THE PACIFIC we charge a flat rate of AU$ 45 and it will take between 6 to 13 days for you to receive your parcel.

**PLEASE NOTE**
Deliveries won’t be made on Public Holidays or weekends.
Unfortunately, we will not be held responsible for any customs or duties charges that may be incurred on delivery at your destination country. Please contact your local customs office for more information.
If customs charges are not paid for, and the item is returned to us, we will deduct any extra charges we incur (customs or freight costs) before we process your refund.

Once there was a little girl called Imelda who really loved shoes.
When Imelda grew up she married a corrupt but relatively handsome dictator who embezzled millions of dollars from the Philippine government. This meant that she could go completely crazy on amassing A WHOLE LOT of beautiful shoes. When that dictator was finally brought down in 1986, authorities raided their palatial residence in Manilla and found an abandoned collection of around 3,000 (THREE THOUSAND!) pairs of designer shoes…
Around about the same time, in a land far, far away in a small town in Australia, there was another little girl who also loved shoes. When she grew up her friends often joked with her about this obsession tagging her with the nickname “Imelda”….
What started with a little bit of love grew into a lifelong obsession.
What followed was a colourful life of travel, wanderlust, and design during the ’90s leading me to encounter a myriad of talented makers and creators. I dreamt of sharing what I had found. In 2013 I opened a little store in Mullumbimby called Tinker Tailor Dancer Trader, filled to the brim with a collection of things I loved. Over the past 7 years, both our store and our amazing Tinker Tailor family have continued to evolve. And now we have shoes, lots of beautiful shoes!
Naturally, my inner Imelda has now “come out of the closet”.
Working closely with our incredible designers in Italy, Spain, Germany, Portugal, and Argentina we have the privilege of bringing you custom made shoes from some of the best in the world, mostly made only to order and made especially for us. Many of our designs and colours you will find nowhere else but here, in our Closet.
From one Imelda to another, we’re bringing you something fabulous and unique, not only spectacular and innovative in design but where quality, finish, and attention to detail is paramount. We developed this “e-closet” with a lot of hard work since it is done pretty much 100% by us. We hope you enjoy what we have put together for you and that you crack up with a good laugh or two while you drool over beautiful shoes.
